Yes. THE Alexander Becker -- caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible.
Alexander Becker provides ideation services, conceptual and technical consulting, as well as design and production services for print and web projects. Alexander Becker is the mastermind behind Lyrois.
Here's the original --
I'm an experienced designer, a notorious artist, a curious entrepreneur, and a chaos-specialist...
I'm involved in design and art for 15 years. (That's 10,000 hours × 2 -- and counting.) Everything else evolved along the way.
I sell design and production services and privately commissioned art -- as in logotypes, web- and print projects, and those shapes you see all over my places.
I develop my business theory straight out of my consulting gigs and keep my philosophy continually updated.
I like to say my interests are family, business, and war. Add action sports and you know how I roll.
I'm an intelligence junkie, I consume and process vast amounts of information, broad and deep, on screen and in print, and most of my output is inspired, fueled, or at least enhanced by what I call collateral intelligence, which is how I try to define creativity --
Creativity is a collateral of insatiable curiosity.
... as in ideas are cheap, conception itself isn't hard; execution is.
Alternating and escalating between design, art, and business keeps input and output levels up, also artistic creation is a productive way of staying sane. Still curious? Read the Lyrois Story and experience the shapes it takes.
Some quotes to go --
Being a fan of an artist is not necessarily the same as being a fan of their work. Most often, it correlates inversely.
The question: "What's your favorite classical composer?" doesn't reveal anything. Instead, "Which composer do you absolutely hate?" is much more insightful. Same with wine.
In general, I don't care -- In particular, I do care obsessively.
Upon good news, act as fast as possible, where upon bad news, gather as much intelligence before acting at all. Nothing is as good as it seems, nor is it as bad.
One more thing -- As a chaos-specialist, I thrive in chaos and in trouble. Just in case you need to find me.
